The Director – Medical Affairs tafasitamab, under the leadership of the Therapeutic Area Lead Hematology / Oncology, plays a key role in the development of the global medical strategy and execution of the Medical Plan for tafasitamab. This role requires disease specific expertise and business understanding to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice to successfully support the launch of tafasitamab.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional teams across both R&D and commercial settings
  • Support launch activities for tafasitamab, such as:
    • Work closely with Clinical Development, Commercial teams, and our partner Incyte to support the execution of the launch and life cycle management strategies
    • Support adaptation of training and other scientific material, in collaboration with Marketing and other appropriate internal stakeholders
    • Contribute to publication planning, and coordinate congress reporting and summaries; collect insights on competitors and market development
  • Scientific Engagement:
    • Support Morphosys’ development of positioning as a scientific authority in Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
    • Build strategic partnerships with KOLs to ensure that Morphosys’ portfolio is appropriately positioned in treatment guidelines and protocols, through the provision of balanced, scientific information
  • Data Generation and Publication Planning:
    • Develop and implement publication plans
    • Facilitate and support the conduct of investigator-sponsored work
    • Medical / scientific responsibility for assigned clinical studies and other sources of evidence generation (e.g. RWD), including but not limited to defining study concepts / synopses, protocol development, medical monitoring, final study reports and preparation of data for publication of study results
  • Compliance:
    • Responsible for acting in line with legal, regulatory and company standards and codes of practice
    • Completes all required training modules as a priority


  • PhD or MD
  • Ideally minimum five to ten years relevant experience in Medical Affairs
  • Successful in implementing Medical Affairs plans
  • Prior knowledge of Hematology or Oncology is preferred
  • Experience in health policy and with Payers, and in HEOR (health economics outcomes research) and RWE (real world evidence) projects
  • Experience in development and implementation of clinical trials
  • Prior experience in managing Field Team of Medical or Clinical Trial Scientific Liaisons desired
  • Capable of working with Co-Development / Co-Commercialization partner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate workload in a team & matrix environment, in order to meet established deadlines, under pressure
  • Team player with well-developed interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including grammatical / technical writing and presentation skills
